Named after the famous White Star Line, the prominent British shipping company renowned for its illustrious liners which sailed from Southampton, our historic building has been central to the City’s maritime history for over a hundred years. 

Eat & Drink We’re open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day and our seasonal menu makes superb use of great local ingredients which help to create an exciting selection of modern British classics. The White Star has been singled out for recognition by the AA  and awarded a much coveted rosette that recognises ‘excellent restaurants that stand out in their local area’.

Sleep Our stylish, comfortable en suite rooms are designed to entice and relax. You’ll find seriously comfortable beds with soft Egyptian linen, stunning bathrooms with roll-top baths and oversized showers - not forgetting the important touches like mini bars stocked with your favourite products and personal safes big enough for your laptop. Work The White Star has a host of facilities that make us the ideal venue for business.Our ‘executive boardroom’ is a natural choice for presentations, interviews, training, and away-days for up to twelve people.Our facilities include complimentary WiFi throughout, LCD display screen, conference telephone in the boardroom, and use of our lounge or private roof garden for further space and summer days at work.
